Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa, United Kingdom

Formby Hall is a 250-acre hotel and golf resort near Liverpool, acquired in December 2025 by Whitehay Capital and our investment partners. The estate is undergoing a multimillion-pound transformation to reposition it as a leading leisure-led, wellness and lifestyle destination.
We are regenerating core leisure facilities — including a reimagined spa, upgraded fitness and recovery zones, and a curated wellness programme, alongside the creation of a golf academy, padel courts, and new social and activity spaces for members and guests.
Accommodation is being expanded to 108 rooms with a full refurbishment, and the F&B experience is being elevated . Additional features include private guest pods in the grounds and a permanent lakeside wedding venue to enhance the resort’s events and hospitality offering.
Through strategic investment and operational uplift, Formby Hall is being reimagined as a year-round sanctuary aligned with long-term trends in wellness, conscious travel, and experience-led hospitality.
